The film, that is Saeed’s latest production after Main Hoon Shahid Afridi, also stars Hamza Ali Abbasi, Vasay Chaudhry, Mehwish Hayat and Ahmed Ali Butt. Speaking to a magazine earlier, Chaudhry, who is also the writer of the film revealed, “I had the idea for Jawani Phir Nahi Ani even before Main Hoon Shahid Afridi happened. But then we put the project on the backseat and started working on MHSA. After we completed that, we decided to revisit this project.”
The movie is directed by Nadeem Baig and produced by ARY’s head Salman Iqbal, Humayoun Saeed, Mohammad Jerjees Seja and Shahzad Nasib. Apart from Jawani Phir Nahi Aani, Salman Iqbal and Jerjes Seja have produced several big budget movies.
This seems to be the movie which Hamza Ali Abbasi was talking about a few days ago when he posted on his official Facebook, “As far as negative trends in media are concerned, I unfortunately am a part of it as I shared the screen and romanced with women in bikinis in an upcoming comedy film. A brilliant comedy film indeed, but do I agree with the exposure? HELL NO! But I had to do it as it was demanded by the director and producer and I gave in…something I will never do again in future.”
