After much waiting, Ford has finally launched its competition for the Honda Amaze and Hyundai Xcent in the market. The Figo Aspire sedan will come in both diesel and petrol variants. There will be two petrol variants on offer – one of which actually tops the segment in terms of engine capacity and output.
The petrol Aspire will come powered by 1.2-liter 67bhp and an even more powerful 110bhp 1.5-liter engine, while the diesel version will have 99bhp 1.5-liter TDCi turbocharged engine. The 1.2-liter petrol and the 1.5-liter diesel engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The segment topping 1.5-liter petrol will have a 6-speed automatic transmission.
As far as mileage figures is concerned, the petrol Aspire can hop for 18.16km on every liter of fuel, while the figure is 25.83kmpl for the diesel car. Mileage for the 1.5-liter petrol stands at 17kmpl.
Prices are pretty competitive – the lower end variants starts out at Rs.4,89,990, while it goes up to Rs.8,24,990 for the higher trim level.
