Palestine Seeks to Join Interpol

On Wednesday the Palestinian Authority announced that Palestine has signed a request to join the international criminal police organization Interpol and that the bid is expected to be approved. This will enable the Palestinian police to receive training courses, expertise and information as well as the right to arrest criminals in corruption cases throughout the world. Last November Palestine was granted non-member observer status at the United Nations, paving the way for it to join more than 40 international organizations.
