Paraplegic Children Walk with Cutting-Edge Exoskeleton

Daniela, a 9-year-old paraplegic girl, is walking again thanks to a specially designed exoskeleton developed for children by a Spanish company called Marsi Bionics. Daniela’s first few ginger steps made her so excited that she smiled from ear to ear at the gathered press. The prototype exoskeleton is attached to the legs of the children and secured on their backs. Special motors give the exoskeleton power to help children with limited mobility move and balance themselves.
