Greece's ruling party, the radical left Syriza, is facing a major internal crisis due to its adoption, by majority vote, of a severe austerity program imposed on the country by international creditors. To resolve the internal dispute, the leadership is proposing a snap referendum, as early as this Sunday, and a party congress in September.
