Billionaire Russian philanthropist and venture capitalist Yuri Milner is teaming up with some of the biggest names in science on a $100 million project to probe the cosmos for evidence of alien life.

Russian billionaire and venture capitalist, Yuri Milner is teaming up with a who’s who of scientists and astronomers—including famed physicist Stephen Hawking—to invest at least $100 million into SETI over the next decade.
The new project is called Breakthrough Listen and roughly one-third of the $100 million will be used to recruit and fund established SETI researchers and student astronomers.
