Dutch Swing College & Dutch Marine Band 1985
At a broadcast in May 1985 at the occasion of their 40th anniverary we see the Dutch Swing Collge Band perform together with cadets of the Dutch Marine Band ( Mariniers Kapel).
Peter Schilperoort leader and tenor sax, Bob Kaper clarinet, Sytze van Duyn trumpet, Bert Boeren trombone, Henk Bosch van Drakesteyn bass and Huub Janssen drums play some wonderful free spirited jazz in exchange chorusses with the strong and controlled sounds ofthe famous Dutch militairy Marine Band, even though they are named cadets. The DSC has performed and recorded with the “Mariniers Kapel” before.
