Jesse Teinaki has grown up surrounded with music and the ocean. The 23 year-old singer/songwriter cultivated a passion for music from a young age playing in numerous local bands and performing at some of Tasmania’s most iconic music festivals.
Jesse recently embarked on the singer/songwriter journey with great success. 2012 saw him on hit television show X-Factor where he made it into the Super Bootcamp. Shortly after, the popularity of his single The Lonely Captain put the Triple J Unearthed servers on the verge of crashing.
In 2013, Jesse was selected as a finalist in one of the country’s leading music development programs, Telstra Road to Discovery where he won the prestigious People’s Choice Award and also won the opportunity to support Bon Jovi on his Australian tour. X-Factor recruited Jesse for their 2014 series in which he made it through to the Wildcard stage competing for the 13th place.
Although not making it to the finals, Teinaki continues with a promising music career and is currently writing material for his debut release.
