Mexico: Activists' Relatives Denounce Police Persecution

Bryan Reyes and Jacqueline Santana are two young activists who have been jailed on bogus robbery charges. Their family members have been fighting for their release, and have themselves been radicalized by the experience. Many feel the case is part of authorities' campaign to criminalize social protests and that the impunity enjoyed by officials who commit such human rights abuses reinforces the status quo and social order.
