Activists denounce USDA attack on human rights defenders

In New Delhi, pro-democracy activists protested against the Burmese military junta at the Parliament street on April 22 for turning a blind eye to the Union Solidarity and Development Association (USDA) attack on human rights defenders. Two human rights defenders and promoters were ruthlessly beaten up by about 100 people wielding sticks in Hinthada in lower Burma in mid-April. The township head of the USDA masterminded the assault, activists alleged.
