Takata chief apologises for airbags fatal floor

The head of Takata has apologised for the eight deaths and more than 100 injuries due to a malfunction in its airbags.

Takata admitted that faults in its airbags may cause them to deploy with too much force.

More than 30 million vehicles have been recalled.

Chief executive Shigehisa Takada
made the following statement:“I want to first offer my heart felt condolences to those who have lost their lives because of our damaged airbags. I also want to again apologise for the concern this fault may cause everyone.”
