Boy killed in 4th of July LibertyFest parade

An 8-year-old boy was killed during the annual 4th of July LibertyFest parade in Edmond, Oklahoma. Reports say he either fell, or jumped down from the float, and was run over. The boy's father was allegedly driving the trailer. A nurse who happened to be driving behind the float and saw everything rushedto administer CPR. The boy was taken to a local hospital, but succumbed to his injuries before arriving. Parade organizers say it was the first serious injury to happen at the event in its 40-year history.
