Thai massage parlor in Tokyo busted for providing extra services

Police arrested two Thai masseuses last Wednesday on suspicion of working while on tourist visas and providing sexual services at a Tokyo massage parlor. The business's Thai owner was also arrested.

The massage parlor in Tokyo's Nishikoiwa Ward has been open since 2007. Sexual services were allegedly available for an added fee. The two Thai masseuses were allegedly told by their boss not to tell the police that sexual services were being offered on the side. The clinic is located in the area where the sex trade is not allowed.

Police arrested the owner on Wednesday for violating the Law Regulating Adult Entertainment Businesses along with the two Thai masseuses on suspicion of working while on tourist visas. The three admitted to all charges during questioning.

The massage parlor's owner is accused of earning the equivalent of US$800,000 over a seven-year period by pimping out her masseuses.
