Four Thai ladyboys 'high on crystal meth' held after man falls to his death from balcony

PATTAYA, THAILAND — Four Thai ladyboys were detained after a British tourist fell to his death from a fourth-floor balcony following an alleged argument about payment for sex.
Naami Keyghobadi, 28, from Leeds, was found lying face up in the street outside his apartment block in the seaside resort on Tuesday, the Bangkok Post reported. He had a broken leg, broken ribs and internal injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police detained four transgender women after an inspection of the Dolphin House apartment block, where Keyghobadi had been staying.
Officers found one of the ladyboys, Patchara Chaihongsa, 33, in an apartment on the fourth floor. She was sweating profusely, according to Thai media reports.
Patchara told police Keyghobadi had argued with two other ladyboys about fees for sexual services, the Bangkok Post reported. She alleged the Briton then grabbed a bag of clothes from his third-floor room and ran upstairs.
Patchara claimed that when she opened the door of her fourth-floor room to check on the commotion, Keyghobadi ran straight past her to an open window and began to climb out.
Patchara told police that all four ladyboys tried to pull Keyghobadi back, but he either fell or jumped out the window.
All four ladyboys tested positive for drugs, police said. Police also found suspected crystal methamphetamine in the third-floor room, the Bangkok Post reported.
Reports of tourists falling to their deaths from balconies in apparent suicides are common in Pattaya.
