Sex on wheels: Hook-Up Trucks provides intimate encounters on the street

San Francisco artist Spy Emerson has created the Hook-Up Truck, which can be rented for $75 for a half-hour of intimacy.

The Hook-Up Truck from the outside looks like an ordinary moving truck. But the inside is designed for romantic encounters.

The truck's interior is equipped with special lights and mirrors to help get couples in the mood. There is no furniture, but a bar, straps and bench help to facilitate activities of all kinds.

If the truck comes to you, the cost is $150 for a half hour. For five-hour party rentals the cost is $2,500, which includes staff for hosting guests and cleaning services.

But is the Hook-up Truck a good deal? A U-Haul rental starts at $19.95 plus mileage, which you won't incur if you're going to town but not driving there.
