Divorced parents abandoned 3-month-old baby on gutter cover

A divorced couple in Taiwan was charged with abandonment for leaving their their own three-month-old daughter on the gutter cover in front of a court house.
The pair was going through a divorce while the mother was bearing the child, who was their fourth. After the baby was born last August, neither parent was willing to raise her. The couple took the matter to court, but the custody dispute could not be resolved and family members from both parties refused to take in the child.
As they left the court, the baby girl's upset grandmother left her on the gutter cover in front of a court house. Seeing this, the bailiff tried to stop the family but the parents and grandparents had already left on different cars.
Authorities have since placed the baby under foster care. The couple now face abandonment charges.
