Bandila: Increase in sugar price; Milk tea kills two people in Manila

The price of sugar in some markets and supermarkets increased this summer season. According to the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA), the demand for cooling drinks is gets high during the summer season which also causes its farm gate price to increase.

Two people died while another victim is rushed into the hospital after they consumed a milk tea that is allegedly poisoned. The owner of the milk tea house is also one of the victims. A sample of the milk tea drank by the victims is brought to the Food and Drug Administration to be tested.
