China eyes new 'silk road'

China is investing USD 46 billion in energy and infrastructure projects in Pakistan as part of its plan to set up a modern 'silk road' through land and sea to connect to markets in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. But China does not consider ongoing territorial disputes in the South China Sea as a roadblock to its plans. - ANC, The World Tonight, April 21, 2015
