At first we were too lazy to read all the reviews about this digital camera. When we bought it from Abes of Maine at first we couldn't realize why it was so much compared to Sony RX100 III, a camera which has nothing common with this one. Simply, it is a different concept, sensor, dimensions, design... The other thing is the criticism of the viewfinder, which many rated as average, which is quite contrary to my notion. If anything at all can be susceptible to criticism, it is the lack of an adjustable screen. In general, any camera from Abes of Maine cannot leave you indifferent, especially this one. If you own this one and you are still indifferent, reexamine your 'sense of feeling' '. Leaving all the kidding aside, honestly ... this Panasonic DMC-LX100 might be one of the best compact cameras, an excellent workmanship with a handful of manual settings, to the extent where you can almost forget about the existence of the screen. It is not pocket camera, because with the viewfinder and mentioned options get a compact camera never visually and functionally closer analogue feel.
What will certainly remind you that this has no roll film inside is the possibility of 4K video recording. Well, we could wish for APS-C sensor, interchangeable lens ... but then we are getting out of the frame compact camera. If you look at the way it should, then we will hardly find a better compact camera. Perhaps the Leica D-Lux, also available from Abes of Maine!
