Insurance murder: Husband buys 26 life insurance policies on wife, almost gets away with murder

In South Korea, a man killed his 7-month pregnant wife after taking out 26 life insurance policies on her.

Police believe that the man, identified only by his last name Lee, drugged his wife before putting her in the passenger seat of a car. He is then accused of deliberately crashing his car into a parked lorry.

Lee was wearing his seatbelt and survived the crash. His wife was not wearing her seatbelt, so she and her unborn child were killed instantly on impact.

Lee then called police and told them that he’d fallen asleep at the wheel.

The crash was almost dismissed as a tragic accident until police found out about the 26 life insurance policies.
