Germanwings A320 crash: 13 minutes of terror as 150 people perish

Co-pilot Andreas Lubitz deliberately crashed the Germanwings flight carrying 150 people into the French Alps last Tuesday.

German tabloid Bild has released a summary of what they claim went on inside Germanwings Flight 9525 before the crash.

The timeline is based on data taken from one of the black boxes recovered from the crash site. A transcript of the cockpit voice recording has yet to be released by officials.

Bild claims there are 1.5 hours of sound on the voice recorder. Capt. Patrick Sondenheimer tells the passengers he's sorry for the delay after the flight took off 20 minutes late.

Before takeoff, the captain tells co-pilot Andreas Lubitz he didn't have a chance to hit the head in Barcelona. Lubitz tells him he can go anytime.

The plane reaches a cruising altitude of 38,000 feet at 10:27 a.m.

At 10:29 a.m., the plane begins to descend. Shortly after there is a bang on the cockpit door and the pilot can be heard yelling, "For God's sake, open the door!" Passengers are heard screaming in the background.

At 10:35 a.m., loud metallic bangs are heard as if someone is trying to knock the door down. The plane is at about 23,000 feet.

At 10:38 a.m., the A320 is descending and the co-pilot can be heard breathing.

At 10:40 a.m., the plane's right wing hits a mountaintop as screams are heard for the last time.
