LA Man Stranded In Mexico Following Alleged Identity Theft

Identify theft can cause numerous, significant issues for victims. A man named Carlos Montoya knows that all too well.

For most victims, identify theft could mean financial loss. However, for Carlos Montoya, its consequences have been quite unexpected.
He spent a year in Mexico for epilepsy treatment and now he's unable to return to the United States, his home country, because of the alleged identity theft case.  The problems started on March 1st and its been a battle since then. 

He has a birth certificate proving that he was born in Los Angeles in 1977. Even though he showed that to the border agents along with a California issued ID and social security card, they still deported him. 

Its because when his fingerprints were scanned, another individual's photo came up on the screen and Montoya was reportedly accused of being an imposter.

His lawyer has asked the Inspector General to investigate potential criminal actions. In the
