Doctor Ken, Pole Ninja "Superman" Male Pole Dance
This was the dress rehearsal of a performance I never actually got to do in mid-2013. I just ran across it again, and thought I'd share it as it's never been seen before. Be warned, it's more intense than you might initially think.
My focus for this one was, simply, STORYTELLING.
Story Summary:
Superman is idealistic and heroic and confident. But when he fails in his mission to save the baby, he is thrown full face with reality. In his desire to help, he has caused more harm, and his world view is completely shattered. His identity is smeared. He goes through grieving and anger and destruction and then self-destruction, and ultimately, he finds himself still standing, choosing to put on his cape again as superman, but with a truer perspective on reality and his role in the world.
As this is an artistic dance performance, it should fall under fair use for the music:
