Brazilian gov't pledges to step up anti-corruption efforts

Following huge demonstrations yesterday throughout Brazil involving one million protesters called by right-wing opposition groups demanding the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff over the corruption scandal in the state run oil company Petrobras, the government pledged to step up anti-corruption efforts. Justice Minister Jose Eduardo Cardozo said new measures would be announced by Rousseff in the next few days. teleSUR
