South Korea's defense chief says he will continue to check in on the ongoing joint military drills with the U.S. to show that the bilateral alliance stands strong.
Defense minister Han Min-koo visited an annual Key Resolve military exercise at a U.S. airbase on Friday.
There, he spoke to troops and expressed sympathy for Ambassador Mark Lippert, condemning his attack as a form of terror.
Commander of the U.S. Forces Korea... General Curtis Scaparrotti, meanwhile, said the unfortunate attack does not represent the sentiment of the South Korean people.
