This is the Audio recorder I use. Also if your using windows things are gonna look a little different in the effect settings. Although its gonna basically look the same.
Hopefully this will help your commentary audio. Feel free to ask me some questions below. Thank you for watching.
Keep in mind that everything can be changed to your liking. Everyone has different set ups and voices. So what may work for me, may not work for you exactly. Feel free to play with the settings until you get it sounding the way you desire. heres the steps I take when using Audacity.
1- Noise Removal - Get Noise Profile & remove noise
2- Normalize | -1 Decibel
3- Compression | Threshold -15 to -20
4- Equalize - Bass Boost and Treble Boost
5- Normalize | -1 Decibel
6- Hard Limit | -4 Decibel
7- Normalize | -1 Decibel
8- Export to 16bit wave format (Export) This is vary important. Don't save as an Audacity file than you will not be able to use it outside of audacity. Also this file format is the best quality wise.
9- you can edit/cut your audio with the scissors as I showed at the end of the vid.
