Via Campesina reports attacks and threats received in Honduras

The internationally known organization Via Campesina has denounced a series of attacks and threats it has received in Honduras. Since their office was shot up less than a month ago, there have been at least six robberies and threats, with no protection from the authorities. At least 25 campesinos are in prison for land-related struggles, while crop destruction and evictions have multiplied. Via Campesina charges that the repression reflects powerful interests that want their lands. Gerardo Torres reports from Central America for teleSUR.
