She was reportedly taking a nap on the floor when the autonomous vacuum somehow mistook her hair for dirt and began sucking up the strands.

It's customary for some South Koreans to sleep on their floors.

In this incident, the pain that resulted from the device tugging on her hair caused her to wake up.

She couldn't pull the strands out on her own, as by that time, they had become tangled into the inner workings of the vacuum. She contacted the fire department for assistance and first responders were dispatched to the home.
