Cubans remember independence leader Jose Marti in torchlight march

Thousands of students marched in Havana late on Tuesday (January 27) to commemorate the 162nd anniversary of the birth of 19th-century independence leader Jose Marti. Carrying torches and flags, they marched from Havana’s University through several blocks in a demonstration known as “The Night of the Torches”.
