A police officer in Dover, Delaware has been cast into the spotlight after the department posted a video of him that quickly went viral.

In the footage, Master Corporal Jeff Davis is sitting behind the wheel of his police cruiser and lip-synching to Taylor Swift. As her hit 'Shake If Off' played on the radio, Davis animatedly bobbed his head around and let out a series of sassy hand movements.

A Facebook post by Dover Police notes they decided to share the video online as part of their latest web series called 'Dash Cam Confessionals'. Department Spokesman Mark Hoffman admitted that the clip was staged and took approximately 15 minutes to film.

Hoffman explained, "We’re trying to humanize police officers. People tend to look at us as robots with uniforms and gun belts so we wanted to a show a lighter side of our force."
