The big brand names have been making the most of the festive season to win over online shoppers. This year, once again, they have been coming up with all sorts of inventive ways to create an online buzz, releasing all manner of wacky viral ads. Here`s a roundup of some of the best viral Christmas ads of 2014...
One pet food company has teamed up with a Utah based shelter for this commercial which features 13 dogs and a token cat sitting around a table enjoying their Christmas dinner. They have all been dressed up as humans and, as we can see here, the end results are pretty funny indeed.
Here`s another ad that has got web users talking; it was produced by a supermarket chain in the U.S. to sell its latest pyjama line. A group of men are performing their belly slapping version of a Christmas classic: “Jingle bellies” is proving massively popular and has already racked up over 1 million 300 000 views since being uploaded to YouTube.
But the award for this year`s best festive viral ad has to go to a low-cost Canadian airline which played Santa to residents of a small town in the Dominican Republic, delivering Christmas presents they had asked for the day before. The wonderful surprise was of cause captured on camera, and the resulting video has been watched around 3 million times.
