Russian government tries to stop currency freefall

The Russian government has started selling its foreign exchange reserves in an effort to prop up the rouble. The currency dropped by 11 percent on Tuesday, and continued its fall in early trading on Wednesday. Also today, a last minute deal for lastminute.com that’s secured the buyer a cut price.
