BERRY DE MAY - THE FLEXING DUTCHMAN

In 1990, Vince McMahon set up the World Bodybuilding Federation, as a spin off from the World Wrestling Federation. McMahon wanted to make bodybuilding cross over into the mainstream by creating a set of stars he could market like his wrestlers. He signed up many of the greatest bodybuilders of the era, including The Flexing Dutchman, Berry De May. 'Characters' were created for each of them - resulting in this bizarre spectacle. De May's posing routing is introduced by a short film scenario describing his playboy lifestyle and effect on women. Obviously designed to help the judges asses his size, symmetry and posing skills on stage.
