Anyone who's serious about training will know the importance of core. It's not about strength or looking good - but it's a vital functional element, affecting posture, flexibility, movement and injury prevention. Here, Brighton-based trainer Max Smith talks about the importance of core, while displaying amazing core strength ability in a series of highly challenging exercises (which shouldn't be tried without the right experience or instruction). The moves shown here are designed to have the 'wow' factor for the camera, but underlying this display is a strong reminder that without core ability, there is no proper training.
