Spanish Mackerel at Air Papan Beach, Mersing Malaysia

A Spanish Mackerel was hooked up when I was fishing at Air Papan Beach, which's one of my favorite playground.
I left Singapore at around 2am in the morning, it was a cold morning and reaching my destination at 5am. Had brought my Kite Fishing gears but still didn't manage to get it onto the sky due to weak wind.
Rested awhile and begun my first cast into the South China Sea, the sun was rising and the weather was good. I was hoping for the strike on the first light but nothing happen.
It was around 11am, I had just cast my bait out using the old timer, 10 footer Loomis & Franklin Surf Casting rod, which's with me for almost 18 years, and it's still very reliable. While casting with my the other rod, a 13 footer SureCatch Surf Casting rod which I bought at a bargain, the Spanish Mackerel struck! I wasn't aware about it, till I finish the casting.
When I saw my Loomis & Franklin's rod tip was dipping & shaking aggressively, I wasted no time and dashed over, I grabbed the rod and made a slight adjustment on the tension, then grabbed the spool and gave it a hard struck. Fish On! Yes! the Mackerel immediately returned me with some good pulled, I reel as fast as I can and sensed that it wasn't very big in size, but it really had the power when it struggling to break off.
The fight ended in less then 2 minutes, when I brought it in, saw that it was foul hooked on the tail. I guess it must be trying to steal my bait and when it turns away, accidentally caught on the hook line.
This was the first ever fishing action caught on tape from the first strike of the fish! Never before had I got any footage on fish strike, was setting up my tripod and aiming at my two rods.
