Disabled Diary (story of a talented man)

After getting some basic training for BBC trainers about the concept of video diary, this was the first ever video diary made for Geo News Tv. In an organization where voice over and Ptc was a tradition, this feature package was the first of its kind where the talented subject tells his story in his words. The package begins with formal introduction of Ahsan Ullah, who then begins his story that he works in a telephone company, upgrades number on daily basis, rides motorcycle and in the evening go for sports. He explains how a misfire caused him spinal injury in tenth grade and how hard he worked to over come the trauma. More over he completed his Masters degree with success and became a table tennis national champion. He also represented Pakistan in International Paralympics. In addition to self transformation, he has adopted the role of a mentor and guides young people with disabilities to over come the trauma and best utilize their lives. Today he lives to fullest and contributes to the society. After this news package was aired , I and Ahsan ullah got a number of calls from many special persons , thanking us for the report and how much the news report meant as an encouragement.
