International bullfighters gather in Colombian capital to call for reopening of bullring

Bullfighters from around the world have gathered in Colombia’s capital Bogota to call for the city’s bullring to be reopened.

They were supporting local bullfighters who have been protesting for more than 100 days.

The sport was banned in 2012 by the Mayor although a Constitutional Court ruled in September that the ban violated “the right to artistic expression” and gave a six-month period to resume bullfighting.
