Door Falls Off Private Plane Carrying U2's Bono

On Wednesday, the rear door of the Learjet 60 Bono was in fell off while the plane was in the air. At the time of the incident, Bono and four of his friends were onboard the aircraft.

The group had been venturing from Dublin, Ireland to Berlin, Germany when the plane reportedly plummeted approximately 15,000 feet to the ground.
Fortunately the aircraft landed safely and there were no injuries.
Two suitcases were lost as a result. German authorities have launched an investigation to determine how the hatch came off.
Bono had been headed to Berlin for the Bambi Awards when the plane ride took a turn for the worse. He and his band were being honored at the event and a performance was scheduled.
After safely landing, Bono met with Germany’s representative for the Ebola fight to have a discussion about the disease.
