Anderson Cooper recently became the target of a prank while he was on live TV. During the ‘Ridiculist’ segment on ‘Anderson Cooper 360’, the host was talking about the less-than-ideal habits of co-workers.

He had no idea the clip that would appear on screen would show his own office. The camera focused on his work space before zeroing in on a lit basil-scented candle.

Cooper’s reaction was priceless. He was obviously surprised to see his own office on the screen, but even the shock didn’t help him hold in his laughter.

He commented “Really?! Some of my coworkers do not like the way my candle smells? This is cold! And you don't tell me. You let me read it on a teleprompter. Wow. This is new to me. This is completely news to me.”

He defended his candle, saying he thought it had a pleasant scent and also pointed out he spent a good deal of money on it. Then he read the list of things that his colleges thought his lovely candle smelled like.

A few noteworthy ones were “Woodstock vomit” and “a garden gnome’s underwear drawer.”
