Set in Toronto’s Little Italy, this award winning comedy revolves around the exploits of Cake (Christopher Bolton), a hockey-mad, recovering addict of ... well, everything. Cake runs a hockey goalie rental service out of Café Primo, the coffee shop his family owns. Here at this somewhat random crossroads of hockey culture and coffee culture, Cake spends his time hanging out with friends (but with names like “Shit Pants”who needs enemies?) while trying to live by The Code, an ever changing set of personal ethics and spiritual guidelines he uses to keep himself in line. Very funny, and very original, this Canadian Comedy award-winner is ... well, a winner.
