Italy: factory managers to appear in court over deaths of seven Chinese workers

The managers and owners of an illegal clothing factory in Italy are due in court on Friday over the deaths of seven Chinese workers in a fire last December.

Five people are facing homicide charges.

The victims worked and lived at the Teresa Moda factory in Prato, Tuscany.

The fire on 1 December 2013, was the deadliest in living memory in Prato.

Some 15,000 Chinese are estimated to be living in the city illegally.
