The Newshour Debate: Confident BJP going alone? - 2

It's neither Shiv Sena nor Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) for now as the BJP gets ready with Plan C in Maharashtra. Unwilling to act in haste, and fall for the arm-twisting tactics with Shiv Sena nor risk a compromise by allying with NCP, the party may just go alone. Banking on the support it's trying to muster from Independents, the BJP may go alone by convincing the NCP to abstain if it comes down to a vote on the floor of the House Assembly. Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari meanwhile seems to have emerged as the frontrunner for the Chief Minister's post.

In a debate moderated by TIMES NOW's Anand Narasimhan and Padmaja Joshi, panelists -- Sanjay Jha, National Spokesperson, Congress; GVL Narasimha Rao, National Spokesperson & Member Electoral Reforms, BJP; Rahul Narvekar, Spokesperson & MLC, NCP and Sudheendra Kulkarni, Columnist & Author -- discuss whether confident BJP going alone in Maharashtra. Can #MinorityMahaGovt ensure stability?
