Investigators are searching for a female suspect who is accused of violently assaulting a victim inside a Philadelphia bar. The incident unfolded on Wednesday, October 1st shortly after 10 p.m.
Investigators are searching for a female suspect who is accused of violently assaulting a victim inside a Philadelphia bar. The incident unfolded on Wednesday, October 1st shortly after 10 p.m.
The 23-year-old victim had been sitting at the bar when the assailant quickly approached her from behind. The suspect punched the other woman’s head and body repeatedly.
Customers who were inside Whispers Bar at the time intervened and pulled the angry female off the victim. While they were holding her back, the attacker reportedly threw a glass at the woman's face.
As a result, the 23-year-old received a laceration. Patrons struggled to get the suspect outside the business but they were eventually able to do so.
Police describe the woman as a 35 to 40-year-old with dark skin and a stocky build. She stands somewhere between 5 feet ten inches and 6 feet tall.
The department has released footage of the assailant and another person of interest who was seen attempting to calm the woman down. Anyone who recognizes them is asked to contact the Northwest Detective Division.
