About the book

The new book, Demon Street, USA The True
Story of a Very Haunted House, is a warning to those who would dare to explore the
paranormal and face down evil entities. Noted ghost hunters, authors David Rountree
and Robbie Lunt were called to intervene for a woman who was driven from her
Gainesville, Florida, home by phantom parties, a dancing stove, and waves of a demonic
force that tossed her around like a rag doll.
The authors embark on a whirlwind race against time, visiting sites of spiritual power,
and acquiring artifacts and allies in their attempt to exorcise the Demon before it can
seriously injure or even murder someone. An experienced investigator and a shaman
taught by his grandfather, the Lakota elder Black Eagle, Rountree feels the hairs rise on
the back of his neck when the landlord of the house asks him, “Can you conjure demons?”
Among the spine?tingling occurrences in Demon Street:
? Windows that open by themselves
? Rusty keys opening locks that have been closed for years
? The Devils Millhopper, an ancient gateway to alternate realities
? A blue arc over a gravestone with the epitaph “Not Dead”
? A powerful lake altar and a totem discovered

When Lunt is nearly pushed off the catwalk in the University auditorium, and when the
Demon appears at a psychic fair and at a concert with more than 100,000 people in attendance,
the authors are terrified, exhilarated and more determined to deal with the
evil presence. Throughout the book, readers will thrill to the chilling scenes and enjoy
the authors’ dark humor as they balance reality with the supernatural.
The story rushes to a conclusion as the two try to banish the Demon in an epic psychic
battle that peels the paint off the walls of the haunted house on Halloween night!
Demon Street appeals to both the spiritual and paranormal communities. The authors
contend that “Scientific investigation is good. However, when it comes down to actually dealing
with evil entities, that is a spiritual process.”
Rountree adds, “We hope that our work serves as a warning to both paranormal investigators
and New Age practitioners. There are things out there that go bump in the night and if you mess
with them they can strike back!”
