Immersion of POP Ganesh idols despite GPCB's 'NO', Ahmedabad - Tv9 Gujarati

Ahmedabad: GPCB ( Gujarat Pollution Control Board) has banned the immersion of Ganesh Idols made of Plaster of Paris (PoP) in the lakes and river. The notification also stipulated that the idols makers should use eco-friendly materials and colours but civic body's exercise to facilitate immersion of Ganesha idols did not meet its objective of preventing further pollution of the Sabarmati river.
