US diplomats were evacuated from the compound in July when fighting escalated.
Since, several individuals from the Dawn of Libya militia have occupied the grounds and begun to take advantage of its desirable amenity.
According to an Associated Press reporter who was granted a walkthrough of the property, it appears to be the only luxury the group is interested in.
Televisions, workout equipment, food and computers didn’t seem to have even been touched.
The pool, however, proved to be quite an attraction.
Footage was recently posted to social media showing several people jumping in the water, some of them launching themselves off of the balcony.
According to a US Ambassador, the building in heavy use appears to be in the residential portion of the compound.
She also pointed out that there didn’t seem to be any looting or destruction going on, rather the new occupants appeared to be keeping it secure.
The State Department doesn’t plan to send diplomats back to the embassy until the situation in Tripoli calms.
