A school teacher from Ohio is left in critical condition after a pair of teenagers tossed a rock at her car from an interstate bridge in Pennsylvania. Mother of four, 52-year-old Sharon Budd had been traveling to New York City for a road trip with her husband and daughter when the rock hit her straight in the face.

The couple’s daughter had been driving while Sharon was sitting in the front passenger seat.

She had no time to move or react to the rock that flew through the windshield. Sadly, Sharon lost an eye as a result.

She also has brain damage. Police say two brothers, aged 17 and 18 threw the rock from an overpass as a prank.

Reportedly two other underage kids were also involved. As of now, the brothers are facing charges of ‘aggravated assault and conspiracy’ but they could be in even more trouble if Sharon’s condition worsens.

A Gofundme page has been launched to help Sharon and her family during the long road to recovery and has thus far raised over 11 thousand dollars.
