SC disapproves Shariat court diktat

The Supreme Court has delivered a judgement on Shariat courts, stating that they have no legal status. The apex court has objected to Shariat court passing orders against innocent persons and that there is no sanction of law for it. The court's move to declare fatwas have no legal status comes as a big win for human rights in India.
