STORY: Paris glittered on Sunday (July 6) as Atelier Versace kicked off the city's Haute Couture fashion week with an opulent show where superstar singer Jennifer Lopez was in pride of place.
Versace fan J Lo took her seat in the front row wearing a strapless bright white gown with a thigh-high split.
The glamour continued as the Italian fashion house showed a giddy whirl of floor-length gowns.
With a romantic palette of midnight blue and violet Versace recreated the night sky, and star-like crystals on sheer gowns shimmered beneath the lights on a runway which had the air of an exclusive nightclub.
The Italian fashion juggernaut's chief designer Donatella Versace sashayed onto the runway to rapturous applause at the end of a show.
Paris Fashion Week continues until Friday (July 11) with houses including Dior, Chanel and Valentino all set to try to wow the fashion pack.
