Pro-Democracy forces in Hong Kong send Beijing a reminder

More than 500 people have been arrested in Hong Kong after a protest march calling for more democracy.

The arrests came after an overnight sit-in was held in the city’s financial district.

The demonstrations were on July 1, marking the handover back to China from Britain.

It has become a national day of protest for human rights campaigners in the former British colony.
